SET Youth Musician Competition

College of Music Mahidol University began organising the first contest in 1997 on an annual basis. This is in cooperation of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, which recognises the importance of music development in Thailand and therefore sponsoring and participating in the contest since 2004 which was originally called Thai Youth Music Set Trade Contest.

This Youth Music Competition is a platform that benefits youth in promoting creative expression as well as helping youth practice concentration in thinking, decision-making and problem solving. Free time is a valuable benefit that keeps youths away from drugs and abuse. Moreover, youth have developed useful skills for study and life with this so it is therefore a great contribution to the quality of life and the quality of Thailand's society.

The SET Youth Music Contest in Thailand is open to all kinds of musical instruments that do not use electricity, including singing. We do not limit the music genre in the contest. It can be considered that the SET Youth Music of Thailand contest is the most open music contest in Thailand.
